About a year ago I started photographing sunrises. And when you do something enough times, you get into a groove. With sunrises, you learn when to expose for the water, the rocks, and finally the sunrise.
This memorial day weekend, I was camping with some friends on the west side of Oahu and had the opportunity to shoot a sunset. Sunsets are uncomfortable for me. My timing is all off, the light isn't growing...it's fading, etc, etc.
But I found that sitting in discomfort has a way of shaking your psyche just enough that things start to feel new again. Inspiration begins to seep into your unconscious again. This fortunately/unfortunately is the process of growth.
